Ageism Awareness Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness about ageism and promoting inclusivity and respect for people of all ages. Ageism affects everyone. How we view ourselves, as well as others, can impact our longevity, our economy and our lives. We celebrated the day with an intergenerational fitness class, a Wisdom Tree and a mural installed at AGE of Central Texas (3710 Cedar St., Austin) showing the wisdom, strength and diversity of older adults through images.
